Reading this will make you a better person
Well, I can’t guarantee that, but maybe this website will provide you with a little insight into Middle East news and pop culture.
I scour the Internet for good news, bad news, weird news, funny news, and interesting developments in the Middle East, especially with women and pop culture.
Read, write back, and enjoy.

Hey Hanady-
February 3rd, 2008 at 6:49 pmYour blog is awesome!
Not much to criticize, really - great layout, nice pictures, perfect tone.
Keep it up!
I’m not sure if this is the proper place to post my response (for all the other readers, Hanady and I are grad students together and assigned to review classmates’ sites).
Anyway, wow. I love this site. I think the layout is a lot more inviting than it was when it was on Wordpress and the topics are very interesting. I think your voice is strong, especially after reading the section about you and explaining where you’re coming from. And people will read it. Who could resist “Salam, y’all”?
My least favorite post was about Ahmadinejan as Hitler, not that I didn’t like the topic (I really did), but because of the links. I don’t really know where it’s going when there’s the link that’s just the word “harangued.” Also, on the post about Omar bin Laden, I didn’t quite get the last line about asking his daddy for help. I’m not offended or anything, just confused. Especially since Osama bin Laden is a figure who inspires such strong emotion, it might be needed to give a little bit more explanation just so people don’t get offended.
I think the scannable text is coming up with a lot of things that make me stop and read; the pictures are incredibly well-used, and the categories are very easy to understand.
Just to return to your voice for a second. I think you’ve hit the perfect tone to discuss a region that brings such strong, emotional reactions. In my opinion, the TV stations and major newspapers present the Middle East as a place with one, homogeneous view. I think you’re showing it as the diverse place it is.
